Call for Special Tracks

Attracting a worldwide audience, IEEE CBMS is a premier international conference for computer-based medical systems and one of the leading conferences in the fields of medical informatics and biomedical informatics.

IEEE CBMS 2027 invites proposals for the organization of Special Tracks to be held in parallel with the general conference track.

 

The themes of the Special Tracks should complement the general conference topics and focus on emerging research fields, innovative methodologies, and interdisciplinary challenges. All tracks are expected to foster stimulating discussions on state-of-the-art, emerging, visionary, and potentially controversial topics.

 

Submitted papers must report significant unpublished research and meet the same scientific standards as regular conference papers. All accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings, subject to the conference publication requirements.

 

Accepted Special Tracks are expected to follow the main conference paper submission and reviewing schedule.

​Submission Guidelines

Each proposal must include:

  1. Special Track title.

  2. Expected Special Track size: a rough estimate of the number of sessions (with approximately 4–5 papers per session).

  3. Special Track organizers: names, affiliations, and brief biographies.

  4. Program Committee: a list of proposed Special Track Program Committee members.

  5. Draft Call for Papers: including the Special Track scope, topics of interest, and important dates aligned with the main conference schedule.

  6. Publication opportunities: one or two appropriate journals or follow-up publication venues, with the expectation of organizing a special issue.
